NOVEMBER 2009: The chip&wire technology of Metallux SA serves now the space applications
During 2009 Metallux SA participates to the construction of the solar generators for TIsat-1 picosatellite.
A pico-satellite TIsat-1 has been developped in co-operation with the SUPSI, University of applied sciences and arts, Southern Switzerland. The "chip&wire" technology of Metallux SA Mendrisio (CH) was used for the solar panels on all six sides of the cube shaped satellite. The launch of TIsat-1 from SHAR space center (India) is foreseen within the first quarter 2010. A further press release will be issued when the launching date of the rocket will be announced.
