SUPSI (Technical University of Ticino) requested the support of Metallux SA for the construction of their nano-satellite CubeSat –Ti- Sat1.
Solution
In this project Metallux SA was involved in the optimization and assembly of the solar cells, by interconnecting individual cells by means of wire bonding and installing the cover glass protection, thus creating a perfectly functioning the solar power generator.

Client endorsment
On the 12 July 2010 Ti-Sat1 was successfully launched into space. Today it is working perfectly, transmitting measured data to the SUPSI’ Ground station on a regular basis.
